my perth trip ... 23 - 30 jun 05
i'm finally back in singapore! no more shiverings, no more jenga & drinking sessions, no more delicious steamboat... it has been a really enjoyable & unforgettable time of my life. GAWD i miss those people!! perth would be just a boring old town if it were not for them. not to mention my dearest pri sch classmate, shaofeng, who had been ever so gracious to make me feel really at home. my sweetie pie roomie huichoo had been so accomodating & nice. and how can i ever forget scott, the gambler, who had tolerated my obnoxious singing in the 4WD. special thanks also go to cheeky sean (for trying so hard to get me drunk) and chivalrous linchai (for bailing me out in times when my stomach was peeling). right, so here's a very very brief summary of my perth trip (sometimes, words just can't describe everything)...
day1
combed thru university of west australia in the cold, and hey, it's more like a park than an institution! had a short trip to the city, tried the crepe and god! it sucks! gimme marche anytime man! luckily i had chicken pie before the dinner.
day2
shaofeng specially climbed his way painfully outta bed just to bring me to the popular king's park. we did the tree top walk too, but i like the mini waterfall and the water spurts best. later on, a few of us went down to subiaco, where there were quite a number of shops. celebrated huichoo's bday (25jun) with an intoxicating drinking session.
day3
went to city for more shopping! followed by clubbing session to the very very congested metro. they played r&b which wasn't really my kinda music for dancing, but heck! had to enjoy myself nonetheless right?? headed for some nice fish porridge thereafter (yup, what a healthy supper huh??)
day4
we went to fremantle today and had fish & chips (& other stuff) at the famous cicerello's. the servings were humongous! also went for a fast cruise which lasted 25 mins. damn shiok i would say! but shld've been faster huh...hahaha
day5
we went to city again for more shopping! after which we had a wonderful steamboat session. another of my long lost pri sch classmate chien hwee joined us too. nice! sean puked a lot today too, and i had to mop the floor. eww...
day6
we went gokarting! and i suck at gokarting!! hahaha. first round was bad. 2nd and 3rd rounds were better. 4th round and i was hit! by hc's fren joceline's car and my right side of ribs went paralyzed for a gd 2 secs! but i finished off the 5th round nonetheless! time to learn from jay chow! hehe. night time, we went to fremantle & makan at this place called little creatures. e food is not so gd, but it's a very popular place!
day7
scott, sean, gary & i got up at 6am today! to go to pinnacles. it was a really windy and rainy day, thus, it was really cold even though we were headed north. the koalas were really cute! kangeroos here seem starved and it was hellish going round and round looking for my stone! lunch wasnt fab but sandboarding was fun! it seemed so scary initially cos of the height but once u get the hang of it, u feel like doing it again and again! well, just like sex, some say... :p
day8
time to head home! woke up ard 8am and had cereal for breakkie. hc, sf & scott saw me off to the airport... wanted to treat them for a nice breakfast but time was running out. in e end, the plane took off late anyway, cos apparently, 2 idiots cldn't make their way in time. touched down in sg at 5.45pm (one hour late!). gosh!
